Welcome to Kuri K9 Trail & Train, Nanaimo's professional dog walking and training service! Experienced, Dogsafe Canine First Aid Certified and passionate about doing an excellent job, your best friends are in good hands with us.

Our goal is to provide a well rounded, structured off leash adventure for your dog. One which leaves them tired, calm and fulfilled. We provide the training necessary to help them participate successfully in pack hikes, and offer private training sessions to help tackle any basic obedience challenges you are experiencing at home.

Numbers on our hikes and training hikes are limited, allowing us to focus on each pack member and provide guidance on how to behave when encountering other hikers, mountainbikers, animals and more. Pack members are expected to hike a minimum of once a week, consistency and repetition being key to achieving results.

We used balanced methods both in training and on our pack walks. Believing strongly in positive reinforcement to reward good choices and introduce behaviours, as well as setting clear boundaries with verbal corrections and gentle spatial or leash pressure. This well rounded approach gives clarity to your dog, and clarity leads to confidence and calms anxiety.
